Based in Lindley, Huddersfield, our 11+ creative writing tuition has an excellent track record of delivering results. Our experienced 11+ tutor works with small group-classes to prepare pupils for the FCSE entrance exam for the Heckmondwike Grammar School, The Crossley Heath School and North Halifax Grammar School. Every child begins with an initial writing assessment, after which they are taught the skills and vocabulary needed to develop and strengthen their writing. ​​

Our 11+ comprehension and vocabulary lessons develop the reading and language skills required for success in selective school entrance exams. Pupils are taught how to read analytically and purposefully, with a clear focus on exam expectations.

Lessons cover all key comprehension skills, including inference, deduction, retrieval, and interpretation, alongside structured practice in responding accurately to a range of 11+ question types. Vocabulary is taught systematically, focusing on meaning, nuance, and confident use in context.

This approach has consistently led to strong results and successful entry to selective schools, with pupils developing the confidence and exam understanding needed to perform well in 11+ assessments.
